KATHMANDU, Feb. 7 -- Two policemen deployed on duty in Kathmandu have been assaulted by leaders from the ruling party CPN-UML's student wing.
The incident took place at Amrit Marga in Thamel, where two officers, Raghu Gharti and Nagendra Bishta, from the Quick Response Team (QRT), were deployed from the Durbar Marg Police Station.
According to sources, the attackers were student leaders from the All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) affiliated to the CPN-UML, including leaders Kamal Joshi and Dinesh Sigdel.
