RAUTAHAT, Sept. 17 -- Commercial power generation from solar energy has started in Rautahat district for the first time. The solar power project brought into operation by Api Power Limited has already started production and is connected to the substation of Nepal Electricity Authority at Chandrapur through a 33 kV transmission line. The capacity of the project is said to be four megawatts.

The project design, import of equipment, construction, connection and operation work has been carried out by Kushal Projects Nepal Company.
