Nepal, Sept. 17 -- Commercial banks of Nepal earned a profit of Rs 8.38 billion in the first month of the current fiscal year (FY).

According to a report prepared by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), 20 commercial banks secured the aforementioned amount as net profit during mid-July and mid-August of the current FY. The amount was 8.61 percent less compared to the cumulative profit worth Rs 9.17 billion in the same period last year.
