KATHMANDU, March 23 -- The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a corruption case against tax officer Man Prasad BK on the charge of amassing Rs. 18.2 million in unexplained wealth while in government service.

BK, a local from Rolpa who joined the civil service in 2011, has been accused of amassing Rs. 18. 2 million in the eight years since . Calculating his regular income and what was earned by his wife Aaitamali, his expenditures, other property and bank deposits, the anti-graft body concluded that BK amassed Rs. 18.2 million through misuse of his position.
