KATHMANDU, Aug. 19 -- Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday has held four police constables Devendra Balayar, Aakash Khanal, Niraj Bhandari and Hitler Saud in custody for allegedly receiving bribes from service-seekers.

According to a press statement released by the anti-graft body, acting on a tip-off, the CIAA team has arrested them after having received a bribe amount as equal as one hundred thousand from service-seekers to certify police reports related to accidents illegally.

During an investigation, as it has been found that constables trio Devendra Bahadur Balayar, Hitler Saud and Lokendra Thapa have collectively received bribe amount for verifying the police reports illicitly, the anti-graft body fi...
