Nepal, May 7 -- The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has appealed the Supreme Court (SC) against the Special Court's verdict that acquitted Engineer Binod Pun, the then acting chief of the Infrastructure Development Office in Salyan.

The CIAA had accused Pun of causing a loss of Rs 714,041 by failing to complete the Sundardanda-Thangnekhola road construction in Ward No. 15 of Sharada Municipality as per the contract. Dissatisfied with the acquittal, the CIAA filed the appeal on Tuesday.
