KATHMANDU, June 25 -- Police arrested Nar Bahadur Karki, a leader of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist party of Nepal (CPN), in the capital on Monday evening.

According to the police, a team from the Metropolitan Police Sector (MPS) Kamalpokhari arrested Karki at around 5 pm from Baluwatar.

"Karki has been arrested in connection with his involvement in the activities of the Chand-led outfit," said DSP Hobindra Bogati. spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Range Office (MPRO) Teku.

He added that Karki is currently being interrogated. Police have not filed any charges as yet. "He has been taken to the range office at Teku," Bogati told Republica.
