Nepal, March 3 -- Former Italian captain and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon expressed his desire to see Nepal play in major tournaments such as the Asian Cup, World Cup, and other global football competitions.
At a press conference on Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kathmandu, Buffon said that Nepal needs to invest in infrastructure and other areas to compete in major football events. He encouraged the country to aim high, stating that their goals would be achieved one day. Buffon, the goalkeeper for Italy's 2006 World Cup-winning team, arrived in Nepal on Sunday.
