Nepal, June 10 -- Authorities in Jhapa district have heightened surveillance at border points following reports of COVID-19 cases in neighbouring India.

A decision was made to strengthen monitoring and testing for COVID-19 at the border areas due to the potential risk of transmission.

The District Health Risk Management Committee, chaired by Chief District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari, met on Sunday and decided to deploy additional human resources and better equip the health desks at entry points.
