Nepal, June 25 -- A controversial birthday celebration held at the official residence of DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet in Saptari has prompted a formal investigation by the Nepal Police Headquarters.

Following instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deepak Thapa, the Madhesh Province Police Office has formed a probe committee to determine the facts surrounding the incident.

The committee, led by SP Narayan Ranjitkar, has been tasked with investigating the purpose of the event, identifying attendees, and determining whether any behavior violated police conduct.
