Nepal, June 10 -- The Birgunj Customs Office collected the highest revenue of Rs 64.5 billion from the import of petroleum products during the first 10 months of the current Fiscal Year (FY).

The office spent Rs 155.94 billion to import five types of petroleum products during this period. Petroleum products contributed 46.26 percent to the total revenue collected from the top 20 imported items. Customs Administrator Deepak Lamichhane, head of the Birgunj Customs Office, said the main sources of customs revenue here depend on the import of petroleum products and vehicles.
