KATHMANDU, Nov. 15 -- The Bal Gopaleshwor Temple at the center of historic Rani Pokhari(Queen's Pond) in Kathmandu would remain open for the public from 5 am to 5 pm on the day of Bhai Tika during the Tihar this year.

The Temple draws a large number of people without brothers and sisters to receive tika on the Bhai Tika which falls on November 16 this year. It is the day when sisters put tika on the forehead of their brothers, wishing for their prosperity and long life.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) and National Reconstruction Authority have coordinated the opening of the temple for the devotees. The temple, which was destroyed in 2015 earthquake, was reconstructed and was recently inaugurated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari. ...
