Nepal, May 27 -- Authorities have released Annie Kunwar after deciding not to pursue legal action over her alleged involvement in a violent pro-monarchist protest in Tinkune.
The Kathmandu District Police Range had submitted a report recommending charges against her. However, the District Government Attorney's Office concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support her involvement and declined to file a case.

Police released Kunwar from custody last Sunday following the decision. Investigators had detained her after a video surfaced on social media showing her descending from the building where journalist Suresh Rajak was found dead.
