KATHMANDU, Feb. 5 -- An investigation has been launched against Shanti Prasad Luitel, the attorney general (AG) at the District Government Attorney Office (DGAO), Chitwan, for not filing an organized crime case against Rabi Lamichhane, who is the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Although police had recommended filing both organized crime and fraud charges, the DGAO, Chitwan, charged Lamichhane only with fraud. In response, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has launched an investigation against AG Luitel, as stated by OAG spokesperson Surya Raj Dahal.
