India, Nov. 25 -- A total of 64 political parties have registered so far for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5. According to the Election Commission (EC), eight parties were registered on Monday alone.

Until Sunday, 56 parties had registered. With Monday's additions, the total has reached 64. The EC has set November 26 as the deadline for parties wishing to take part in the upcoming HoR elections.
