Nepal, Jan. 20 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday escalated by 42.26 points to close at 2,714.81 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,672.55 points and gradually surged to day's high at 2,726.57 points within the first two hours. In the next one hour, the market fell to as low as 2,705.72 points. The market recovered around nine points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
All the 13 groups were the gainers in the intraday trading. Life insurance had the largest gain of 243.14 points, followed by hotels and tourism, non-life insurance, and manufacturing and processing that witnessed three-point gains.
