Nepal, April 17 -- A 22-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly stealing millions of rupees from eSewa by sending a 'phishing link'.

Police arrested 22-year-old Rahul Budha, a native of Krishna Municipality-1 in Kanchanpur and currently residing in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, for stealing money from eSewa using a phishing link. He sent links via SMS to various individuals, warned them about potential account suspension, and instructed them to click the link for verification. Once victims clicked the link, he gained unauthorized access to their eSewa accounts and fraudulently transferred the funds.
