Nepal, June 23 -- Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba has informed that the government has initiated the process of rescuing 11 Nepalis from Iran with the assistance of the Indian government.
Speaking at a session of the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister Rana said that five other Nepalis are still languishing in Iranian jail for having entered the country illegally.

"We have coordinated with India's Ministry of External Affairs to help repatriate the Nepalis along with their own citizens," said Minister Rana, adding, "The 11 Nepalis are currently in the Iranian city of Mashad and are expected to reach India by Tuesday."
