KATHMANDU, June 14 -- A bus suffered a brake failure on the East-West Highway at Diver Danda in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-15, Makawanpur, on Saturday afternoon, leading to a chain-reaction crash that left 10 people injured.
According to the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the incident occurred at around 3:20 PM when a passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 2970) traveling from Birgunj to Hetauda lost control due to brake failure.
The bus first collided with an unregistered car coming from the opposite direction, then rammed into a tanker (Na 8 Kha 440) moving ahead of it. Despite the collisions, the bus continued for about 100 meters before crashing into a roadside tree, which finally brought it to a stop.
