1,197 new COVID-19 cases diagnosed in Nepal taking the national tally to 210,973
KATHMANDU, Nov. 16 -- The Ministry of Health and Population on Monday confirmed 1,197 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in the country.
Only 4,832 RT-PCR tests were carried out across the country diagnosing 735 males and 462 females with the viral infection.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 210,973 including 176,364 recoveries and 1,230 deaths linked to the infection. The country reported 2,934 recoveries and 9 fatalities in the past 24 hours, according to the ministry.
Meanwhile, 501 new cases were detected in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours.
