CHITWAN, July 16 -- With an aim of connecting farmers to university, Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) had established a Kisan Call Center in Chitwan. The call center, established in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, came into operation on the occasion of the university's anniversary, on June 17 last year.

Though the call center is regarded as a major achievements of the university, it has not been utilized by many farmers.

The call center was established to help the farmers on issued related to agriculture and livestock. The farmers can call, present their problems, and get opinions and suggestions from experts through the toll free number provided by the call center.
