Nepal, April 22 -- Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli stated that the resignation of Education, Science, and Technology Minister Bidya Bhattarai was prompted by health issues, not due to any political disagreement.

Speaking at an event marking the 76th anniversary of the Communist Party of Nepal, PM Oli dismissed speculation that Bhattarai stepped down due to lack of support or coordination from his side. "She was appointed by me, she was working under my guidance, and I was supporting her. It's a large ministry, and she resigned only because her health didn't permit her to continue," said the PM.
