Nigeria, Jan. 19 -- Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has given reasons for withdrawing the defamation charges she brought against Nigerian TikToker Eedie Bliss.

In December 2025, Ms Bliss shared a video claiming that Mercy's husband, Prince Okojie, purchased a house for his pregnant mistress.

In a video discussing the claims, Eedie Bliss cited blogger Cutie Juls as her source, while also claiming that the actress was involved in actions that led to the woman losing the pregnancy.

This led to the arrest of the TikToker, who was then detained in Abuja after Mr Okojie filed a petition.
