Nigeria, April 12 -- On 8 April, the Board of Governors of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) appointed Abdullah Almusaibeeh, a Kuwaiti national, as the bank's new president. Mr Almusaibeeh will formally assume office on 1 July, after the conclusion of the tenure of the current CEO, Sidi Ould Tah, on 30 June. Dr Tah, of Mauritanian nationality, is expected to commence administrative leave in mid-April, leaving the day-to-day management of the bank in the hands of a substantive CEO.
