Nigeria, July 24 -- The new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has pledged to unite, build and expand the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Yilwatda said this in his acceptance speech on Thursday after he was appointed national chairman at the APC's National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja.
PREMIUM TIMES reported how the APC leadership resolved to make the Plateau politician and academic the national chairman at a meeting between President Bola Tinubu and APC state governors on Wednesday.
His appointment was ratified at Thursday's APC NEC meeting held at the State House, Abuja.
He was, until his latest appointment, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
