Nigeria, Feb. 7 -- The United Kingdom Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Jonny Baxter, has revealed that the bilateral trade between the UK and Nigeria has surpassed £7.5 billion "and continues to grow."

Mr Baxter revealed this in his welcome address at the launch of Westerfield College UK, hosted at the British Residence in Lagos.

The British envoy emphasised that trade between the two countries remains a cornerstone of their diplomatic and economic relations, fostering prosperity, innovation, and cooperation.

He noted that the UK is home to several Nigerian businesses, reinforcing the importance of "mutual trade benefits."
