Nigeria, July 9 -- 43 years after the iconic Bob Marley song, 'One Love', was released, the United Nations (UN), on Thursday said the song is to be re-released to support children whose lives have been turned on its end during the pandemic.

According to a report published on the UN website, the global agency said the new version is a fundraising initiative with the blessing of the musician's family.

The fundraising initiative comes as the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) warned that an additional 6,000 children could die every day from preventable causes in the next six months.
