Nigeria, July 24 -- Nigeria's Humanitarian Affairs Minister Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda is the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the country's ruling party since 2015.

He was elected unanimously by the National Executive Committee of the party on Thursday.

Mr Yilwatda, a professor, replaces Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who resigned, citing health concerns.
