Nigeria, Oct. 19 -- The police have announced that they will obey a court order that allowed a planned protest to demand the release of separatist Nnamdi Kanu, who is on trial for treason.

Organisers of the #FreeNnamdiKanu protest plan to hold it on Monday in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.

On Friday, the Federal High Court in Abuja approved the protest but barred demonstrators from marching to or assembling near sensitive government sites, including Aso Rock Villa, the National Assembly, Force Headquarters, Court of Appeal, Eagle Square, and Shehu Shagari Way.
