Nigeria, July 13 -- Officials evicted from the Kano emir's palace over alleged disloyalty to the emir, Lamido Sanusi, have sued the emir at the state high court in Bichi.
The officials sued Mr Sanusi and 12 others for illegal eviction and destruction of their properties within the main emir's palace.
The complainants are Usman Dako, who holds the traditional titles of Galadiman Sallama, Auwalu Maikudi, Sarkin Lema, and Sani Mohammad, alias Sani Kwano, among others.
They want the court to declare their forceful eviction from the palace last Monday unlawful.
