Nigeria, Feb. 1 -- The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Usman, has reaffirmed the commission's commitment to early planning, effective coordination and strict adherence to due process for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Mr Usman, a professor, said NAHCON remains fully aligned with the policy direction of the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda prioritises the welfare and spiritual well-being of Nigerian pilgrims.

He said the commission, which operates under the supervision of Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasises the timely completion of all critical Hajj preparatory activities.
