Nigeria, Nov. 23 -- President Bola Tinubu on Sunday announced that "all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued."

PREMIUM TIMES reports that the victims were kidnapped from a church last week in Kwara.

The Nigerian leader, in a statement, also confirmed the release of 51 of the over 300 abducted students in Niger State.

Mr Tinubu said he is "closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline."

"Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety - and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people," he said.
