Nigeria, Feb. 3 -- The Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS), a non-profit organisation concerned with legal reforms, has called for the immediate implementation of the National Minimum Standards (NMS) set for Nigeria's criminal justice system for speedy determination of court cases and general efficiency of the processes.
The President of the Centre, Yemi Ainseye-George, a law professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), said implementing the standards is also necessary to ensure uniform application of criminal justice procedures across Nigeria.
