Nigeria, Jan. 9 -- The German President, Frank Steinmeier, has condemned the US foreign policy under Donald Trump, stating it could turn the world into a "den of robbers."

PREMIUM TIMES reports that Germany is a key US ally and a member of NATO. It also houses the largest US base in Europe. Mr Steinmeier's comment thus indicates the concern US allies have about the Trump administration.

According to a Reuters report, Mr Steinmeier declared that democracy was under attack due to the actions of the Trump administration.
