Nigeria, Jan. 13 -- In a stunning reversal of his stance, former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has endorsed the planned defection of Governor Abba Yusuf and other elected Kano officials, from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to the All Progressivea Congress (APC).

Mr Kwankwaso in short video clip posted by his media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, on Tuesday, announced a full endorsement of his party members' decision to defect to the opposition, a move that has sent shockwaves through the state.
