Nigeria, June 23 -- Iran has launched missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq, Iranian state-run television reports, amidst reports of large explosions in Doha, the Qatari capital.
PREMIUM TIMES reports that Iran had vowed to retaliate after the US bombed three major Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday.
The effects of the Iranian strikes were unclear at the time of this report but the BBC reports that loud explosions were heard in Qatar where the US has its Al Udeid Air Base.
Earlier, the US and the UK had warned their citizens in Qatar to shelter in place until further notice with the US saying it had reports that Iran would attack its interests in Qatar.
Qatar has also temporarily closed its airspace for all flights.
