Nigeria, April 10 -- Two national officers of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) have petitioned the Legal Practitioners' Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) over the recent assault visited on a security guard at an Abuja plaza by the chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar.

The LPDC is the body established by law to handle disciplinary cases involving a breach of profession conduct for lawyers called to the Nigerian bar.
