Nigeria, April 5 -- The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed satisfaction with the resignation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.

The party said this vindicates its call for the resignation of the CJN following the allegations of false asset declaration brought against him.

The national publicity secretary of the party, Lanre Issa-onilu, made this known while briefing journalists at its secretariat in Abuja on Friday.

"Events have proven the party, APC, right. Events have proven those Nigerians who believe Nigeria first and any other things after - events have proven them right," Mr Issa-Onilu said.

Mr Onnoghen is facing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal for allegations of false declaration of assets....
