Nigeria, Dec. 2 -- The Nigeria national team head coach Eric Chelle has officially released a 54-man provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco - a tournament that now carries extra meaning after the country failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

For many Nigerians still hurting from missing a second straight World Cup, AFCON 2025 is now the chance to rebuild confidence, restore pride, and show that the Super Eagles can still compete at the highest level.
