Japan, April 16 -- The Chugoku Electric Power Co.,Inc. and TODA CORPORATION announced that they have acquired shares in Asia Wind power Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Takashi Kashimura; Headquarters: Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture). With this acquisition, The Chugoku Electric Power Co.,Inc. and TODA join Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and Hokutaku Co., Ltd. as investors in the Masuda-Hikimi Wind Power Project.Asia Wind power is constructing 13 wind turbines, each with an output of 4,200 kW, in Hikimi-cho, Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, and developing, operating, and will maintain the facility as an onshore wind farm with a total generating capacity of 54,000 kW.
