Germany, May 26 -- NTT said it is building a 5G network at the Cologne Bonn airport on an area of 1,000 hectares. The airport has received a licence from the Federal Network Agency to use frequency spectrum in the 3.7-3.8 GHz range to set up a completely private network, which is different to a so-called dual-slice campus network. NTT also cooperates with the airport company to advance technological innovations such as intelligent baggage and border controls and to significantly improve the operational efficiency of the airport.
