Tunisia, March 22 -- On March 19, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the Republic of Tunisia in Tunis for Project for Promoting Quality/Productivity Improvement (Q/PI) and Business Development Services (BDS) Phase III, a technical cooperation project.

In Tunisia, since micro-, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) account for more than 99% of the total number of enterprises, the government attaches great importance to improving their quality and productivity. Strengthening the competitiveness of the industry through such improvement continues to be a priority issue in the face of rising unemployment due to the spread of COVID-19 and subsequent energy price hikes.
