Extended Ultrason(R) P portfolio by BASF enables compliant re-qualification of food?contact articles affected by EU Regulation 2024/3190
Germany, March 10 -- For high-temperature applications in contact with food, BASF is now offering a portfolio of polyphenlysulfone (PPSU) grades which is not based on Bisphenol S (BPS) and Bisphenol A (BPA). This Ultrason(R) P portfolio thus complies with EU Commission Regulation 2024/3190 which prohibits Bisphenol in food contact materials and articles. After defined transition periods, these articles are no longer allowed to be produced in or imported into the European Union.
