Ericsson achieves the world's first in-field joint LTM demonstration with KDDI and MediaTek
Japan, Feb. 24 -- Ericsson, in collaboration with KDDI Corporation (hereafter KDDI) and MediaTek Inc., has completed the world's first in-field joint demonstration of Layer 1/Layer 2 (L1/L2) Triggered Mobility (LTM) on Ericsson's Radio Access Network (RAN)-showing how Low?latency Mobility can reduce data interruption at cell change by 25 percent, compared to using legacy Layer 3 mobility.
