Ujjain, June 20 -- A case of alleged "Love Jihad" surfaced in Ujjain on Tuesday when a youth from Uttar Pradesh, identified as Nafees, was arrested for allegedly concealing his identity to befriend a Hindu girl and later attempting to coerce her into religious conversion.

According to the police, Nafees posed as "Kanha" on Instagram and established contact with a BA student in Ujjain. He later invited her to meet near Vishnu Sagar pond in the Khak Chowk area, where he allegedly misbehaved with her. When the girl raised an alarm, bystanders intervened and caught the accused. Members of the Bajrang Dal were informed and brought the accused to the Jiwajiganj police station.
