DEHRADUN, April 22 -- To provide better facilities for the passengers boarding trains from Dehradun railway station and arriving here, the railway authorities have been undertaking yard remodelling work for about a year and half now. At present, Dehradun railway station has only four platforms but soon one more platform will be made operational. Other than that, facilitating an increase in the number of coaches is also in process. According to official sources, around seven to eight thousand passengers board trains here daily during off-season time. After the remodelling and extension of coaches passengers will get relief from long waiting lists.
