India, Nov. 1 -- Delhi Culture Minister Kapil Mishra on Friday announced that the upcoming Yamunotsav at Vasudev Ghat will be a grand and divine celebration. Saints from Yamunotri and Vrindavan will perform a sacred Jalabhishek (ritual water offering) of the River Yamuna using the holy water brought from Yamunotri. The two-day event is being jointly organised by the Department of Culture, Government of Delhi, and Yamuna Sansad. According to Yamuna Sansad convener Ravi Shankar Tiwari, the first day will focus on the spiritual aspects of the Yamuna. The day will begin with the Jalabhishek of River Yamuna using sacred water brought from Yamunotri - a first in Delhi - followed by the Yamuna Katha and evening aarti.
