Bhopal, May 6 -- Marking World Hand Hygiene Day on Monday, health centres across the district educated citizens on proper handwashing techniques to help prevent infection and disease.

Healthcare institutions briefed patients and caregivers on the seven-step handwashing process and explained how clean hands can stop the spread of illnesses. Special focus was given to newborn care wards, where new mothers and their families were counselled on hygiene while caring for infants.
