India, Dec. 5 -- The Delhi Government's Directorate of Economics and Statistics report titled 'Women and Men in Delhi-2025' highlighted that women are more inclined towards the teaching profession in Delhi, especially at the primary level, with 415 female teachers for every 100 male teachers recorded during the 2024-25 fiscal year. The report pointed out a steady rise in the participation of women in the education sector, particularly in teaching.
At the primary level, the number of female teachers per 100 male teachers increased from 363 in 2012-13 to 415 in 2024-25, the report said. At the upper primary level, the number of female teachers per 100 male teachers increased from 214 in 2012-13 to 261 in 2024-25.
