Bhopal, March 30 -- A woman police constable from Bhopal, who had filed a rape complaint against a lieutenant colonel stationed in Uttarakhand, was on the verge of suicide but was dissuaded in time and later lodged an FIR at the Mahila police.
On Friday, her statement was recorded in court under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to the victim, the accused identified as lieutenant colonel ranking officer (48), had also deceived at least two other women in a similar manner. The women got in touch with each other, and during a conference call, they uncovered his web of deceit. The victim further revealed that the accused had created multiple fake social media profiles to lure and manipulate women.
